deuka Tiernahrung Cremer expands production network: New compound feed plant in Germany
With the acquisition, deuka Tiernahrung Cremer is adding another site to its existing production network. In the future, feed for pets and livestock will be produced in Edderitz. The additional capacities will enable deuka to manufacture closer to key sales markets and to coordinate production, storage and distribution across its sites even more efficiently.
“The Edderitz site is an ideal addition to our existing production and distribution structures,” says Jeroen van Klinken, Managing Director of deuka Tiernahrung Cremer. The additional capacities will allow the company to respond more flexibly to customer requirements and make greater use of synergies between its sites.
Additional capacities for packaged and bulk feed
The new site will provide additional production capacity for packaged feed for pets and livestock. Various types of bulk feed will also be produced in Edderitz. Separate mixing and pelleting lines enable flexible production planning and at the same time create the conditions for producing non-GMO feed.
The new site will also be integrated into deuka’s established quality assurance structures and certified in accordance with the quality management systems already in place at the company’s other plants.
